Terms of service
What the service does, what it does not claim, and where the limits sit.
Draft — these terms pending legal review
1. The service
Aicona Labs provides an educational assessment that produces readings of six visible skin attributes from a photograph, an explanation of each reading, a suggested routine framed by category, and a small catalogue of products.
2. Not medical advice
Aicona Labs provides educational insights about visible skin attributes. It is not a medical device and does not diagnose, treat or prevent any condition.
Nothing in a report should be used to identify, rule out or monitor a condition. If something on your skin is changing, painful, bleeding or not healing, consult a clinician.
3. Limits of a reading
A reading describes an image taken under particular framing and lighting conditions at a particular moment. Model performance is not uniform across skin tones, and readings that depend on colour distribution are less certain on deeper tones.
No outcome is promised. A routine may produce no measurable change, and a change in a reading is not proof that a product caused it.
4. Eligibility and accounts
The service is intended for adults. An account is optional; where one exists, you are responsible for the accuracy of the email address on it and for keeping access to it secure.
5. Purchases
Prices, availability, shipping, returns and refund windows are to be completed with counsel and the fulfilment partner before launch. Products in this demo, including their prices and formulations, are illustrative.
6. Acceptable use
Submit only photographs of yourself, or of a person who has consented. Do not attempt to extract the model, scrape readings at volume, or resell output as a clinical assessment.
7. Changes, liability and governing law
Sections covering changes to these terms, limitation of liability, dispute resolution and governing law are to be drafted with counsel. Nothing in this demo constitutes a binding agreement.
